Education: The Hopeful Historian
The Hopeful Historian is a light-hearted trip through design history. Whether we choose to admit it or not, modern day design is the sum of all that has gone before a paradox, to be sure; but why not look back at history to appreciate those moments in time (some more comical than others) that made it possible to create the good, bad and everything in between. Once we’ve wondered through that murky past, as extrapolated from various narratives of numerous academics (both famous and the more infamous), it should bring us somewhat close to the even murkier waters of the present day. Hopefully, then, we have a better appreciation of modern day design.

Family: CanadaPrepared.com
There are many websites on the World Wide Web that deal with preparedness and survival. However, most of them stem from the United States, and as such, aren’t equipped to meet the needs of the average Canadian.
As much as we love our neighbours to the south, we are surprisingly different. Not just in our laws, but in our social mores, cultures, and general outlook on life. Some of the stereotypes about Canadians are true to some degree. Generally, we are more reserved, quieter in our patriotism and, although there are enough rifles in Canada that everyone of us could have one, we are much less inclined toward carrying firearms. For good or for bad, that’s the way we generally are.
All those things make the prospect of being prepared a slightly different process for us. I hope to address some of these different needs and attitudes and help Canadians interested in preparedness and modern survivalism to prepare for life, no matter what happens.
